The Gamifying an Aspect of Your Online Course Seminar is designed to help faculty create optional assignments that can be used in a gamified online course. The initial Zoom session will provide an overview of gamification and the possibilities of gamification within the Canvas system. Following the meeting, participants will practice creating optional assignments for one module/lesson and receive peer feedback.  In a final Zoom session, participants present their assignments to peers and seminar facilitators for feedback. 

Following the meeting, participants practice improving instructions for course assignment instructions. In a final Zoom session, participants present their updated course assignment instructions to a panel of faculty associates and instructional design consultants for feedback. Materials for writing effective course assignment instructions will be provided in the seminar's companion Canvas course.
