The Basic Online Teaching Certificate is designed to provide faculty with a fundamental understanding of the role of the effective online instructor in creating a student-centered and engaging online learning experience. Faculty will experience from the students’ perspective, how online courses can be designed to be easy to navigate, engaging, and make use of technologies and activities that foster social learning. The Basic Online Teaching Certificate requires the completion of the following:

• The Effective Online Teaching Course
• The Student Engagement in the Online Classroom Course
• Five credits of elective activities

By enrolling in this certificate, you will be working towards completing the activities listed above. Completion of requirements will be tracked by eCampus staff.
