Full course description

Social annotation is a great way for students to engage with course materials. By leaving comments on digital content (such as text, websites, and video), students are able to share their thoughts with classmates and have rich, meaningful conversations. In this webinar, we will introduce you to the practice of social annotation, the pedagogy behind it, and its benefits to both students and instructors. Through a demo course in Canvas, you will gain hands-on experience using different social annotation tools, including the most robust one, Perusall. Upon leaving this webinar, you will be armed with ideas for how social annotation can be incorporated into your teaching.

Participants who attend the live session will receive 1-credit towards eCampus Online Teaching or Online Course Design certificates.
