Full course description

This webinar will teach you about the phenomenon of contract cheating and the global market for it created by the Internet. In this session, you will learn to do the following:

  1. Identify what is (and isn't) contract cheating and how to respond to it when it occurs
  2. Articulate in detail your own 'most important expectations' for academic integrity in your course(s).
  3. Help students distinguish between a tutor who helps them learn and a non-tutor who does their work for them
  4. Describe how overtly teaching students about contract cheating may actually increase cheating
  5. Facilitate a value-based discussion with students helping them to identify why the learning matters to them, their career, and their citizenship

Participants will come away with a sample slide deck to help them facilitate a value-based discussion on academic integrity.

Participants who attend the live session will receive 1-credit towards eCampus Online Teaching or Online Course Design certificates.
